Telmo
Director
Telmo grew up in the Algarve, where his family have lived for generations. He came to the UK in his twenties, built a career in high-end residential construction, and spent fifteen years helping establish BeachLife’s reputation for uncompromising quality across Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey and London.
Returning to the Algarve felt inevitable. On site he is a ball of energy, focused and exacting – the kind of builder who notices things others miss and won’t move on until the detail is right. Here in the region, the craftspeople and contractors know him, trust him, and do their best work for him.
Dan
Director
Dan has spent some of his adult life living and working outside the UK, drawn like many of his clients to the particular freedom of building a life somewhere new. That experience gives him an instinctive understanding of what people are really asking for when they come to BeachLife Portugal.
He leads every client relationship from first conversation to final handover, managing budgets, timelines, and expectations with the kind of calm clarity that makes a complex process feel straightforward.
Maddie
Interior Designer
Maddie brings over a decade of experience designing interiors for premium residential properties across the UK and Portugal. She has worked with an unusually broad range of clients – from British second-home owners to European families wanting something rooted in the local style – and that cultural radar shows in her work.
She listens carefully, has a rare ability to make an interior feel personal rather than just on-trend, and is deeply attuned to the Algarve’s particular quality of light and material.
Our story
BeachLife was born on the south coast of England. Over fifteen years and more than two hundred projects across Dorset and Hampshire as well as Surrey and London, we built a reputation for delivering premium homes in some of the UK’s most sought-after coastal and rural settings.
Our move to the Algarve is a natural one. Telmo grew up in the Faro region. Dan has spent years living and working abroad in Portuguese-speaking Brazil. Between us, we understand what it means to seek a different pace – to find a warmer place where the light is better, the evenings are longer, and the home you build genuinely changes how you live. That understanding is at the heart of everything we do.
Our clients are discerning, well-travelled, and clear about what they want. They’re drawn to the Algarve not just for the climate, but for the way of life – and they want a home that reflects that.
