In the Algarve, a kitchen is rarely a closed room. It opens to terraces, spills toward gardens, and sits at the centre of a way of life that is unhurried, generous, and oriented around food, light, and company.
Designing one well means thinking about all of that – the flow between inside and outside, the relationship between cooking and dining, the way afternoon light moves across a worktop. Materials that belong in the climate: solid timber, honed stone, hand-glazed ceramic, brushed metal that doesn’t scorch in the heat. Our kitchen design and installation service is fully integrated into the wider build or renovation process. The decisions made about a kitchen affect structural openings, floor levels, plumbing runs, electrical loading, and ventilation. Getting those things right requires involvement from the beginning, not a kitchen designer arriving once the walls are already up.
We begin with a detailed design consultation, working through how the kitchen will function day to day looking at things like cooking habits, storage needs, the number of people using the space, and the relationship between kitchen, dining, and living areas. From that conversation we develop a full scheme: layout, cabinetry, worktops, appliances, splashbacks, lighting, and hardware, resolved into a complete proposal before anything is ordered or built.
We work with a carefully selected range of kitchen makers, from bespoke Portuguese joinery workshops producing handcrafted cabinetry to European suppliers whose appliances and fittings meet the standard our clients expect. Every specification is chosen for quality, longevity, and its ability to improve with age rather than date with the decade.
Installation is managed entirely in-house, with every trade coordinated as a single, seamless process. The result is always just a kitchen that works beautifully, looks exactly right, and feels – from the very first evening you cook in it – completely, at home.
